Sabina & Johann had a gorgeous sunny summer day for their wedding.

With a beautiful ceremony in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (hello, epic backdrop for a wedding party photo!)… then a dreamy photo session at Victoria College, on the University of Toronto Campus… and finally the party of the year in York Mills Gallery… This wedding was everything you could dream of and more.

When I photographed Amanda & Larry’s at-home engagement session, we decided the grounds of their condo were the perfect place to do their wedding photos too. This couple was ALL about baking things beautiful and easy. Hallelujah!!

They literally had the PERFECT weather for a beautiful autumn wedding. It was happy, colourful, and truly everyone you could ask for!

Amanda & Larry had lots of personal touches at their wedding, including skull shaped liquor bottles, custom made tea packages, and an incredible DIY backdrop for their ceremony at the Grand Luxe in Toronto… But one of the most special moments was surprising their guests with their first dance. You see, they had actually won a call-in radio prize and had the brilliant USS come play their first dance, and DJ for the night! Needless to say, a fantastic time was had by all.

The day was amazing and the night was even better.

It's a cold, November day in Toronto and the air is heavy with the feeling of fall. I arrive at one of the Don Valley's loveliest hidden gems ~ Fantasy Farm. I'm here to photograph Meaghen and Travis' vintage-inspired fall wedding, and I am stoked. I met these two glowing souls through a friend, and knew instantly that we were in for good times. We storm outside for photos and Meaghen tosses her coat onto a nearby tree stump as snowflakes start to float down from a dusky sky. The energy and focus of my work keeps me warm, but I am bundled up; Meaghen and Travis on the other hand, well they're just in love: excited, laughing, high-fiving, making faces, ready for an amazing night. And though they claim to not be into the mushy, romantic photos that make my heart a-flutter... As soon as Travis wraps his arms around Meaghen - warming her up in her blue wedding dress and white Birkenstocks - they can't help but kiss.

Some people are just like magnets - they are meant to be together. They create their own world.

It's inspiring to be around people who can take old traditions and make them new. That is art. It frees the rest of us to be ourselves. Meaghen and Travis, thank you for sharing such an amazing moment in your life with me. I am honoured.

Summer is finally here! To celebrate, I'm sharing Sahrah & Aaron's gorgeous, summery Berkeley Fieldhouse wedding photography. This entire day was bathed in beautiful light, from the hazy forest and summertime chip van at Cherry Beach, to the treehouse and patio at the Berkeley Fieldhouse. Sahrah and Aaron's wedding day was a relaxed, happy day just filled with beauty and love.

There were so many thoughtful details on Aaron and Sahrah's wedding day! Their vintage "around the world" decor in combination with the Korean Tea Ceremony created a balance of vintage cocktail-chic and colourful tradition... But I'd say the most outstanding memory for me was the genuine warmth and loveliness of this couple, and their family and friends, together for an important day.
